Are you ready for my Summer Solocast Series? I am doing some quick solocasts to get you juiced up, infused with encouragement and inspiration. I want you to go about your summer loving your life and making things better.
Our American culture is built upon the idea that you have to hustle to succeed. That’s so not true. Listen as I share the five lies that hustle culture teaches us and why it’s important that you find your own groove.
Lie #1 - you have to get up at 5a to start your day. So not true! If you don’t do well at 5a then stay your butt in bed or get up and just take some time for you. Don’t work at times that aren’t suitable for your energy.
Lie #2 - If you work harder, you will meet all of your goals and be successful. No! Working harder does not mean that you’re working on the things that will help you find success. Working harder isn’t the solution. Work smarter instead.
Lie #3 - There is a specific way to become happy and successful. I call a HUGE bullshit on this one. First of all, what makes me happy is not the same thing that will make you happy, so the idea that there is one way to find that happiness is absurd.
Listen in to hear all of the lies and why you should take time this summer to evaluate how you work, what you like, and when you feel the absolute best in your work. Understanding your body and your energy is one of the best ways to find that elusive happiness and needed success.
“Working harder does not guarantee results, but it will lead you to burn out.” Dr. Errin Weisman
