As physicians we pride ourselves on being the leader in stressful situations. We are calm, cool, collected, and confident that we are making the right decisions to help our patients. Dr. Rachel Miller joins me to talk about why we need to get comfortable with being uncomfortable.

You see growth and development doesn’t happen when you’re perfectly comfortable with your life and circumstances. We need adversity and hard moments to help us grow and evolve.

Dr. Rachel knows this first hand as an introverted executive coach helping female physicians become strong leaders in their organizations and practices. She realized that despite her love of being in her bubble, she can and has done hard things.

Becoming a wife and mom was uncomfortable. Becoming a physician was uncomfortable. Receiving coaching in her own career was uncomfortable. Her discomfort gave way to beautiful experiences and results.

Listen in to hear more about her journey and how she’s helping women in medicine to take control of their lives and careers. Being uncomfortable is not a bad thing. Let’s normalize it!

“There’s a lot of growth and a lot of learning that can come from admitting and telling people that you are uncomfortable.” Dr. Rachel Miller
